Redeemed Vocals has been singing for over 10 years. The group enjoys the harmonious sound of four/five parts harmony and the powerful and uplifting messages found in each song.

Since the group has been established many opportunities have come their way to perform at churches and other events in many parts of NSW. Eugene D’Costa of Asian Aid was one of the first people to take an interest in the group. He invited the group to assist with this amazing ministry, the group gladly accepted the offer and accompanied him to many churches to raise funds for Asian Aid. Pastor Gilda Roddy the former Director of Women’s Ministry at Greater Sydney Conference came to Stanmore to preach and heard the group sing. A few months later she invited the group to perform at the annual Women’s Ministry Retreat Breathe, followed by the Annual Inspire program, and Hope Channel. The group was the support act for Reggie and Ladye Smith at the Ignite Concert in 2017, and has participated at the 3ABN Homecoming in 2018, 2019 and Ignite program in 2019.

The group has had the opportunity to worship and sing HIS glorious praises with many congregations in NSW, Singapore and India. “Singing praises changes us, it makes us feel that God is working with us. Despite how broken and imperfect we are he accepts our praises, they become sweet sounds to His ears, this is both humbling and a testament of His great mercy for us”.

In 2019, the group recorded and released a cover version of their favourite songs. A rendition of songs with powerful lyrics and beautiful harmony. We understand that music speaks to some of us better than words. Our hope is that the music we sing helps to break down the barriers that block us from being a blessing to those around us and bring us closer to our Creator.

Meet the Group

First Alto

MYRLANDE

Myrlande sings first alto, a mother of two she has a passion for singing harmony and has been doing so since she was five years old. Her other passion is social justice, she has worked with a number of government agencies and been involved with various NGOs. She graduated from the University of NSW with a degree in Social Science and Major in Political Science.

Second Alto

betty

Betty sings second alto and has been singing from a very young age and she was part of a trio with her siblings Myrlande and Guesly who are also members of Redeemed, while she was only 12 years of age. She has studied Social Science with a major in Psychology and she has a passion for forced Migration and the plight of refugees. She has worked with government and non-government organisations working with refugees from all over the world.

Bass

guesly

Guesly sings bass and his dream is to one day hit the lowest note ever recorded. He loves living life to the fullest, making each day count. When he isn't singing with Redeemed he keeps very busy working on his businesses, predominantly focussed in the Hospitality industry.

Soprano

mildred

Mildred sings soprano, and joined the group 7 years ago. She is a mother of three boys, a fertility nurse and an active Pathfinder counsellor. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a degree in Nursing and a postgraduate degree in Midwifery. She's been singing since she was a young child, both solo and in a group.

Soprano

sidonie

Sidonie is the newest member of Redeemed, joining in Spring 2022. She has been singing since she was a young girl, and was a child principal in 3 productions with the Australian Opera. She also enjoyed singing with her sisters and with both church and performance choirs. After several years off from singing, she feels blessed to have the opportunity to sing & worship with Redeemed.
